Come learn new artistic skills and brush up on previous ones! Beginning 3 pm Friday June 29th, Summer Summit Workshop attendees will receive a tour of the facilities, and begin their work on sand-cast, resin-bonded molds to create subtractive relief tiles, which are poured Saturday morning. A couple of brave attendees will be chosen to help pour the molten metal into the molds wearing one of the “baked-potato suits!” Attendees can also explore various printmaking opportunities, as well as network with other teaching professionals in a collaborative professional development setting. The workshop ends at 5 pm Saturday, June 30th. However, a world-class dinosaur museum, vintage business signs, as well as Ute Lake, are also near by to explore in case you’d like to stay longer.
