Art Education Keeps Kids In School

The New Mexico Art Education Association (NMAEA) is a 501c3 non-profit membership-based organization of volunteers, created by art educators for art educators, from all grade levels, from across our state of New Mexico. Our membership is comprised of visual art, digital art, and design educators Prek-12, in public, charter and private schools as well as higher ed professors, museum educators, and arts administrators.

NMAEA is an affiliate of the National Art Education Association (NAEA) of over 20,000 members from across the country, since 1972.

Jan 1 – Welcome Nikki Turman as NMAEA President for 2025 !

Congratulate Liz Olive as  president-elect, and interim Secretary Carson Guillory was officially approved. Congrats to Pam Elam as Membership Director and Jill Dooner as Divisions Director. Amy Tanner remains as our ED&I Director.

NMACAE is monitoring bills submitted that impact Arts Education in NM. Closes March 22.​
